Air Transat announces new transatlantic route from Birmingham

Air Transat has revealed its summer 2027 flight programme, headlined by a new non-stop route connecting Birmingham to Toronto

The new service between Birmingham (BHX) and Toronto (YYZ) will operate twice weekly on Tuesdays and Fridays from June 22nd to October 22nd, 2027. This addition significantly expands the airline's UK footprint, complementing its established direct flights from London and Manchester.

The route provides UK trade professionals with a fresh transatlantic option for their clients, featuring seamless onward connections across Canada via Air Transat’s partnership with Porter Airlines. The wider summer 2027 programme also introduces new connections from Canada to Geneva, Lyon, Barcelona, and Faro.

Sebastian Ponce, chief revenue officer at Air Transat, commented, “Our summer 2027 programme combines opportunities to discover new regions of Europe with an expanded presence in markets we already serve. We are giving travellers more flexibility to choose when to take their holidays.”
