The consortium has reported strong year-end financial results for 2023-24
Advantage Travel Partnership’s chair, Steven Esom, has marked 2024 as a "watershed year" for the UK Outbound Travel industry as it experienced the "first true return to normality since the pandemic". UK members led the company's total global sales turnover of £17bn at £8.8bn. This is followed by Global Business Travel accounting for £6.3bn and Leisure Travel recording £2.5bn.
"This trend underscores a fundamental shift in consumer priorities - even under severe budget constraints, both leisure and corporate travel remain essential expenditures, with family holidays proving non-negotiable and corporate managed travel programmes seeing solid growth," Steven concluded.
With two new partnerships from the United States and one from India, the rapidly expanding Advantage Global Network memberships now include 84 countries.
Given the current geopolitical uncertainties and economic headwinds, the consortium's primary focus will remain on driving cost management and profitability for all its members.
