A transatlantic first for Air Transat next summer

Next summer will see the exclusive launch of two new transatlantic routes in a move that chief revenue officer Sebastian Ponce says is “just the beginning of a season full of exciting new developments”

Starting on May 15th, 2025, the airline’s first-ever direct route from London Gatwick to Ottawa will take to the skies, operating three times to per week.

Air Transat will also offer a direct service from Marseille to Quebec City between May 22nd and October 9th, 2026, on a weekly basis. This addition will join the airline’s popular Quebec City to Paris route.

Other changes for the summer include a new Ottawa-Montreal route, and a new Quebec City to Fort-de-France service which will launch in December this year and extend over the summer period.

“Our summer 2026 is already shaping up to be exceptional,” Sebastian continued, “We’re accelerating our growth in Quebec City, launching our first transatlantic route from Ottawa, and expanding our international connections.”
