Italy brochure launch from Kirker Holidays
Kirker Holidays has issued its 2014 dedicated brochure to Italy featuring two new destinations and a range of new properties. Many of the itineraries also include added extras such as guaranteed entrance to the Doge?s Palace, Guggenheim or Accademia for clients visiting Venice, timed tickets to the Uffizi, Accademia or Bargello Galleries for travellers to Florence or, in Rome, complimentary entry to either Villa Borghese or the Vatican Museum & Sistine Chapel. Venice has been added for next year offering two new experiences. A two-hour ?Kirker Walking Tour? is led by an experienced guide and follows a route that is adjusted according to the interests of those taking part. Each group has no more than 15 people in it and the tour is free for clients travelling between November and March (usual cost is ?15). Alternatively, the operator has negotiated a preferential rate at the Excelsior Hotel?s popular beach ?pagodas? on the Venice Lido for clients looking to soak up the rays. Usually costing up to ?300 per person per day, which includes the use of two sun beds, two chairs, a private changing area and waiter service, clients staying in the city can now reserve these for ?80, including use of the Excelsior?s launch to and from St. Mark?s Square. Also newly introduced for 2014 is the city of Trieste which borders Slovenia. Sightseeing highlights include the Miramare Castle, the largest synagogue in Europe and the world-renowned Illy coffee factory. Three nights at the 19th century Savoia Excelsior Palace, overlooking the city?s marina and port, leads in at ?398 per person. New properties have been added in Florence, Tuscany and Umbria. As examples, a three-night stay at Villa Fiesole in Florence leads in at ?598 while a three-night stay at Hotel Astor in Viareggio costs from ?698 and includes free use of the sun loungers at the nearby beach.
