With remote working looking increasingly likely to extend beyond the summer, Waves Hotel & Spa has introduced Working from Waves packages to allow guests to work from the resort, either on a short- or longer-term basis.
The new Barbados Welcome Stamp is now taking applications for visitors to work remotely on the island for up to a year and Waves Hotel & Spa is offering monthly rentals for an all-inclusive break complete with excellent WiFi connections, daily fitness classes and complimentary spa treatments. Monthly rental of a room on an all-inclusive basis is ?6,000 based on double occupancy which includes a discount of 35% on the room rate. Travel agents will earn 10% commission on bookings for the packages, if booked directly through Elegant Hotels.
A number of hygiene protocols including enhanced cleaning and disinfection, social distancing practices, appropriate PPR, temperature screening upon arrival and electrostatic spraying have been put in place to enhance the cleaning protocols.
Barbados is currently open to British travellers and listed on the UK Government?s quarantine exemption list, meaning Brits can easily travel to the island and return without needing to quarantine once back in the UK. British Airways reinstated its daily Gatwick to Barbados route in July, plus an additional seven-days a week service will commence from London Heathrow from October 17, 2020. Virgin Atlantic also recommenced its direct flight route into Grantley Adams Airport this month, meaning travellers can easily reach the beautiful, Caribbean destination.
