Wizz Air celebrates 65 million passenger milestone at Luton

Following on from the airlines announcement that London Lution will be an all-A321neo base by 2025, the 65,000,000th passenger travelled on an Istanbul service this week.

Over 65,000,000 passengers have now flown with Wizz Air from London Luton, with the airport a staple of the airline's circa-100 daily flight service, comprised of 58 routes.

June saw a 23% year-on-year boost in passenger numbers, with 5.3 million passengers flying across the month.

Zsuzsa Trubek, corporate communications manager at Wizz Air UK, said: "It’s a big day for Wizz Air as we celebrate 65 million passengers at London Luton Airport.

"The UK is an important market for us, and London remains a key focus for investment. We would like to thank the team at London Luton Airport for their partnership over the past 19 years and look forward to what the future holds!"
