London Stansted welcomes football fans ahead of the UEFA Champions League final in Madrid this weekend.
Football fans flying through London Stansted Airport to Madrid to celebrate the UEFA Champions League Final will be welcomed with special football activities this Friday and Saturday to get them in the mood.
Fans will be invited to take part in a ?Keepy Uppy Challenge? on Friday and Saturday, ahead of the UEFA Champions League Final in Madrid. At the end of the two days, the participant with the highest number of consecutive ?keepy-ups? will win flights to Barcelona. Scores will be tracked on a leader board, with on the spot prizes also up for grabs.
With the airport situated close to the home of Tottenham Hotspur (the Stansted Express stops at Tottenham Hale!) a ?Good Luck Spurs? message will appear on digital screens throughout the terminal.
An element of fun has also been added to airport experience for Spurs fans, with football-themed information shown on the departure boards including, player names and numbers, club mottos and brand statements such as; come on you Spurs, the game is about glory and to dare is to do.
Lois Robertson, brand and marketing manager at the airport, said: ?The UEFA Champions League Final is one of the biggest football matches of the year and we are expecting a busy weekend with more fans jetting out from London Stansted to see the game. We wanted to celebrate by hosting a special fun football challenge in the departure lounge before they fly out to Madrid and wish them the best of luck?.
