Wicked, the 'Untold Story of the Witches of Oz', will host its 6,762nd performance on April 24th, 2024. As it approaches a notable West End milestone, the show's executive producer extended thanks to the travel trade for playing a key role in its 18-year success.
Its upcoming 6,762nd performance will make Wicked the 10th longest-running West End show in British history. Since premiering in September 2006, it has been seen by 12 million people at London's Apollo Victoria Theatre.
Michael McCabe, the executive producer of the show's UK iteration, said: "Part of this success is due to the sales partnerships that theatre owners, ticket agents, and we as producers have with the travel trade."
In 2022, the show launched Wicked Direct, its in-house B2B booking service. More than £2 million in ticket sales has since been processed through the platform.
"All of us at Wicked, and Wicked Direct, offer our thanks to the many travel and tourism companies and individuals who have promoted the show over the past eighteen years, and we look forward to continuing and developing these valued relationships," Michael concluded.
Tickets for the show are currently on sale through December 2025.
