Wendy Wu Tours reports solid figures and engages with webinars

Wendy Wu Tours has reported new revenue sales worth ?600,000; generated between April 1 and June 15.

While bookings for the rest of the year have slowed down, the April-to-mid-June revenue is promising for medium to long-term growth, despite the pandemic.

The operator has seen a very low cancellation rate, with more than 65% customers rebooking for 2021, a gradual daily increase in bookings for Vietnam and Cambodia, Central Asia, the Middle East and Latin America, and an increasing trend in bookings for solo trips.

Over the past three months, the company has been busy with webinars for agents and consumers, as well as online tutorials to educate agents about several destinations. Live webinars from Vietnam and India have been a highlight.

John Warr, global sales director of Wendy Wu Tours UK revealed: ?Despite very challenging conditions in the travel industry, there is still a high propensity for travel in 2021, as we have seen over the last three months. We know how difficult it has been for agents, during this time and that is why we are supporting the trade, and helping them and their customers with our online webinars, destination and touring tutorials. All of this has helped us to remain in the eyes of our clients, as agents who are engaging in our online programmes are consistently reporting frequent sales, which benefits our agents, with attractive bonus commissions.?

?Alongside, we are helping the agents to be much more competitive, by offering a range of unique value-added services for their customers, such as free business class upgrades, early bird savings for 2021 departures and free membership to Amazon Prime, Netflix and Audible with every booking,? he added.

Mr John Warr further says: ?Our agents and homeworkers have given us unprecedented support and engagement over this period, for which we are truly thankful. We have taken these measures to help protect agents in the long-term, whilst ensuring we can continue to deliver the same levels of exceptional support during this period. We have plans to utilise our online capabilities with the trade over the next three months.?
