The campaign promotes the Maldives as one of the safest destinations for travellers and encourages clients to get vaccinated.
Visit Maldives has joined forces with the Maldives' Ministry of Tourism to launch the 'I'm Vaccinated' campaign, designed to inspire positivity about the vaccination in the travel and tourism sector, and promote the Maldives' health and safety initiatives that make it one of the most Covid-secure destinations.
The campaign aims to make the Maldives the world's first fully-vaccinated tourism sector, hoping to use this achievement as an encouraging selling point to get tourists back to the destination.
Dr. Shah Abdulla Mahir, minister of health, explained that over 65% of the eligible Maldivian population has received the vaccination, with over 90% of workers in the tourism industry already vaccinated, endorsing the campaign's positive message.
Following the campaign's launch, the managing director of Maldives Marketing and Public Relations Corporation unveiled a microsite which will show a counter of tourism staff who are vaccinated, provide information on how to register for vaccination, and the latest health and safety guidelines, promoting the Maldives as a 'safe haven' for post-Covid travel.
