The Greater Fort Lauderdale Convention & Visitors Bureau has launched the ?Visit Lauderdale x London Art Swap? in celebration of the destinations vibrant art scene.
Running throughout July, the initiative includes a special collaboration between UK street artists, Graffiti Kings and local Greater Fort Lauderdale artist Ruben Ubiera. The ?Art Swap? included the Graffiti Kings travelling to FATVillage to produce a one-of-a-kind Greater Fort Lauderdale-inspired mural. The mural created in London's Great Eastern Street in Shoreditch is a homage reflecting their experiences of their time in the destination.
Tracy Vaughan, senior vice president of tourism & travel industry sales at the destination's convention & visitors bureau, said: ?We are delighted to bring together renowned muralists like the Graffiti Kings and Ruben Ubiera on this creative integrated campaign to highlight what Greater Fort Lauderdale has to offer UK travellers beyond the beach. This is the kind of edgy renaissance that we want to show UK travellers and the world. I am thrilled to share this campaign as a quirky representation of Greater Fort Lauderdale, a place where everyone is welcome.?
The Graffiti Kings travelled to the destination pre-launch to experience what it has to offer, learning first-hand about the buzzing arts community before creating a mural which is now on display in FATVillage in Greater Fort Lauderdale. Upon return to London, the Graffiti Kings produced the destination-inspired mural at London's Great Eastern Street in Shoreditch.
The campaign has also partnered with Trailfinders through which all visitors to the site have a chance to win a holiday to Greater Fort Lauderdale.
