Agents selling holidays to destinations that have a reputation for complicated visa application processes can steer clients to a Swiss-start-up which offers an online service for 36 countries, including Russia, India, China, Vietnam, Nepal, Kenya, Mongolia and Myanmar.
Viselio, a Swiss start-up has launched in the UK this month and can process visas in seven minutes for a ?21 fee in certain cases in a fully automated system.
For destinations that require fingerprint identification, such as China, Viselio offers a customer-support system to assist travellers with the process.
In addition to individual travel, Viselio has streamlined the process for groups by designing a Visa Panel. The panel avoids unnecessary trips to embassies and reduces paperwork, by organising all the data in once place, which is adjustable to the client?s preference.
Tour operators, travel management companies and travel agents can fill in and manage group visas with one click. Using the Advanced Passenger Information (API) system, agents can insert personal data such as names and addresses, as well as importing further booking details, to make the whole process easier. For business travel, companies can request for this data to be saved so that future visas can be organised as quickly as possible.
