Vietnam extends visa-free entry and e-visa durations for Brits

From August 15th, 2023, UK passport holders can enter visa-free for up to 45 days, with e-visas valid for up to 90 days with multiple entries.

Vietnam has extended its visa entry durations for UK passport holders.

Initiating a three-fold increase on the previous limit, visa-free entry is now valid for up to 45 days.

An additional 30 days has been applied to e-visa entry, allowing e-visa holders to stay for up to 90 days. The e-visa is now valid for multiple entries across the 90 day period, rather than  a single entry.

Flag carrier Vietnam Airlines continues to operate five weekly services from London Heathrow, which will increase to a daily programme from October 29th, 2023.

A Vietnam Airlines spokesperson said: "The upcoming changes in visa-free travel and e-visas will significantly enhance the flexibility of travel for British visitors to Vietnam and other countries in the diverse region of Southeast Asia.

"Multi-destination British travellers will be able to enter Vietnam, travel on to other nations, and return if they miss our beautiful country. Vietnam Airlines will be with them every step of the way with our non-stop services from London Heathrow to Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City, as well as our extensive network of direct connections to other major cities within Vietnam, Asia, and Australia."

Return fares start from £751 per person.
