Trade celebrates Aussie success on joint sales mission

Visit Victoria and Tourism Northern Territory joined together for the boards first joint sales mission in the UK, visiting over 170 agents and rekindling relationships with a host of trade contacts.

Taking place in Manchester and London, 23 tourism partners from Victoria and the Northern Territory showcased the latest and greatest from their destinations, joined by Shae Keenan (chief marketing officer for Visit Victoria) and Scott Lovett (deputy CEO of Tourism Northern Territory).

Speaking to Travel Bulletin, Keenan highlighted that Victoria has grown in prominence as a tourism economy in recent years, adding that "for us, this part of the world is an important part" in fuelling that.

Lovett echoed the sentiment on the importance of UK inbound travel, describing it as "one of [the board's] most valued and treasured markets."

Two agents, Dan Hyams from Travel Counsellors and Keely Robers from Wexas Travel, won prize stays, including flights courtesy of Singapore Airlines and an itinerary of dream stays and experiences down under courtesy of both tourist boards.
