Tourism Authority of Thailand to host virtual fam trips

In celebration of the re-opening of Phuket last week and Koh Samui from July 15, 2021, the virtual fam trips will showcase the best of the two destinations.

Following the re-opening of Phuket to international travel last week, and with Koh Samui set to join the destination in welcoming guests once again, Tourism Authority Thailand (TAT) is marking the occasion with two virtual fam trips, which give agents the chance to win a ?50 Amazon voucher.

"As travel restarts to Thailand there has never been a better time for agents to refresh their knowledge which is why we've created a series of special destination weeks. These sessions will talk agents through the entry requirements and help answer any questions they have.

"Koh Samui will start welcoming international travellers from 15th July so we're also inviting agents to join 'Samui Week' from 20-22nd July," said Ms. Chiravadee Khunsub, director of TAT London.

The webinars will not only showcase the best of Phuket's hotel and attraction offering, but inform agents on the current restrictions in place across Thailand.

Throughout 'Phuket Week', from July 6 to July 8, 2021, TAT is hosting a daily virtual live tour at 11am.

On July 6, 2021, the introductory session will include tours around an elephant sanctuary, Phang Nga Bay (by canoe) and some of the island's best accommodation offerings. The second session on July 7, 2021 will visit the Phuket Old Town, the Big Buddha and the resorts that line the island's West Coast, including the brand new Anantara Mai Khao. The final virtual tour will partner with SALA Phuket, The Slate, The Nai Harn and more.
