The Travel Network Group creates Brexit factsheet for members

The Travel Network Group (TTNG) has provided its members with a two-page factsheet outlining the changes to travel regulations to EU destinations, as well as Switzerland, Norway, Iceland and Liechtenstein, from January 1, 2021, when the Brexit transition period ends.

The document, created after the launch of the UK government?s "Let's get going" campaign,? will outline the changes for travel businesses that will come into effect as a result of Brexit.

TTNG members will receive information and updates on passport validity, border control protocols, visa regulations, driving license changes and the impact on travel and health insurance.

Gary Lewis, CEO of TTNG, said: ?For the past five months, the travel industry has been turned upside down by the COVID-19 crisis, and we have been supporting our members to stay afloat financially, while helping them negotiate a landslide of rebookings and refunds, all in the face of constantly changing rules and regulations. Against this ever-changing backdrop, it is our role to cut through the information overload that our members are facing every day, to clarify and simplify the most important facts they need to know and pass on to their customers.?

Mr Lewis added: ?We are starting to see positive signs for the industry, with many people starting to look towards the future and book a holiday; that is why enabling our members to help customers negotiate the changes in the way we travel post-Brexit is so important right now.?

Last month, TTNG announced an in-principle agreement to acquire the The Global Travel Group, which has more than 200 members.
