The operator has reported a 20% rise in German river cruise bookings during the Euro 2024 tournament.
Booking data from the period in which Germany hosted the tournament, between June 8th and July 12th, suggests a rise in interest and sales across a range of itineraries across German sailings.
Will Sarson, Riviera Travel's newly-promoted product director, said, "While the end result to Euro 2024 was not the one that all England fans were hoping for, it’s clear that many who tuned in to games over the last four weeks were also thinking about their next holiday while the action was taking place.
"Our varied range of Rhine itineraries offer a number of inviting experiences, from exploring the best of medieval Germany, taking in the beautiful Christmas markets during a festive sailing, or sampling the unique food and drink on a gastronomy-themed voyage."
