Tauck: the smaller the better with new tour offering

Tauck is riding the wave of its successful Small Group tours with the introduction of its ‘Smaller Group’ tour programme, averaging 15 guests per departure.

The established Small group tours will continue to average 24 guests per departure, with the company’s classic land journey itineraries averaging between 35 to 44 guests.

Tauck has begun to pilot the new programme, with the first Smaller Group departures across three tours having operated in recent weeks. Collectively, Tauck will pilot 26 Smaller Group tours spanning seven itineraries in North America and Europe this year, with the programme’s official launch set for the company’s 100th anniversary in 2025.

The complete programme will feature 124 departures across 12 itineraries in North America, Europe and Africa.

Dan Mahar, CEO of Tauck, noted the “incredible growth” in the company’s Small Group departures over the last few years: “Our market research has zeroed in on an optimal group size of 12-20 among those interested in smaller groups, so our average group size of 15 travellers is right in the centre of that sweet spot.”
