The Swiss?tel Kursaal Bern has opened in the heart of the Swiss capital.

Swiss?tel Hotels & Resorts has opened its newest property, the Kursaal Bern, in the heart of the Swiss capital. Joining Accor's premium brand portfolio, the property will take the role of the company's new flagship.

Occupying the property of the former Hotel Allegro, the Swiss?tel Kursaal Bern hosts 171 newly redesigned rooms with a sophisticated sustainability strategy and the Swiss hospitality the nation is known for.

Guests staying at the hotel are treated to panoramic views of the Swiss Alps, just five-minutes from the historic old city of Bern, a UNESCO World Heritage site.

Director of Kongress + Kursaal AG, Karin Kunz, explained: ?We are very pleased to join forces with Swiss?tel for this groundbreaking project and to benefit from the strength of the Accor network with its global reservations system, international sales force, direct booking channels and access to new, innovative technologies. Our guests will have the chance to participate in ALL, Accor?s lifestyle loyalty programme across all brands and experiences. Authentic Swiss hospitality is a key differentiator for Swiss?tel ? that makes us perfect partners."

Interior designer Nina Mair is responsible for the hotel's rooms, which utilise natural and sustainable materials to respect Swiss?tel's alpine history while ensuring the hotel takes a modern and sustainable approach to its design.

The hotel hosts two of the brand's signature Vitality Suites, stylish guestrooms offering balconies, custom-made furniture and fitness and wellbeing walls with simple equipment to let guests focus on fitness and wellness during their stay.

Foodies can experience the property's two restaurants, helmed by Michelin star chef Fabian Raffeiner. The Giardino Mediterranean serves classic but modern Italian specialities as the Y? restaurant will present a culinary journey through Asia.

Swiss?tel Kursaal Bern comes equipped with the city's largest event space, with a 1,500 guest capacity, as well as 28 modern rooms available for meetings of all sizes.
