MSC Seaside to sail in the Mediterranean for the first time this summer

MSC Cruises is preparing for summer cruises, debuting the MSC Seaside with a Mediterranean route.

MSC Cruises has announced that summer cruisers aboard the MSC Seaside will be able to enjoy a private beach experience in Taranto, Puglia, alongside two newly-added sunny southern Italian destinations.

This summer marks the MSC Seaside's debut season in the Mediterranean, joining the MSC Grandiosa from May 1, with a series of seven-night sailings calling at Genoa, Valetta, Siracusa, Taranto and Civitavecchia.

Gianni Onorato, MSC Cruises' CEO, explained: ?We are very pleased to be able to introduce yet another new destination with Taranto to our itineraries this summer. We have been working in close collaboration with the local authorities to offer a range of different protected shore excursions to enable our guests to discover this beautiful part of Italy, offering something for all types of traveller from visits to historic sites, taking in the stunning countryside through to enjoying the regional gastronomy and of course, a day at the beach.?

Three lidos along the Marina di Taranto will be exclusively available for MSC Cruises' guests on the day the ship calls, with 'bubble transfers' on hand to escort guests to the beach and back to the ship while maintaining group bubbles and Covid-19 regulations. The lidos will be equipped with umbrellas and loungers, as well as a bar, restaurant, toilets, showers and changing cabins.
