State of Washington Tourism relaunches

A delegation from the state will be coming to the UK from March 28 to April 1, 2022 to promote travel to the region.  

Representatives from the State of Washington, including executive director David Blandford and director of strategic partnerships and tourism development Mike Moe among others, will take to the UK trade to develop and sustain the state's destination marketing. 

In January 2022, the State of Washington Tourism (SWT) launched a refreshed brand and marketing programme, with 'The State of Washington' replacing 'Experience WA' as the consumer-facing brand. A new campaign, '#TrueToNature', is running in select markets.  

“The new brand and campaign were co-created and shaped by stakeholders from across Washington,” said David Blandford, executive director for SWT. 

“It was a thoughtful process that allowed us to uncover a brand that is an authentic reflection of our destination.”
