p>St. Kitts will unite with other Caribbean exhibitors at the 2011 World Travel Market to support this year?s Just a Drop appeal, as part of a CTO (Caribbean Tourism Organisation) initiative to raise funds for the cause.

Visitors to the St. Kitts Stand - CA 305 in the Caribbean Village - will have the opportunity to enjoy rum punch, made from some of the island?s finest rums, for a voluntary ?1 donation, while also raising money for the official WTM charity.

The St. Kitts ?1 rum-punch tasting appeal will be held over two days of the World Travel Market, on Monday 7 and Tuesday 8 November, on the St. Kitts Stand CA 305 between the times of 2.00pm and 5.00pm. Two bottles of the award-winning Brinley Gold Rum are also up for grabs as part of a Caribbean prize-draw to take place on the CTO Stand CA 440 on Wednesday 9th November.

CTO Member countries participating in the appeal also include Antigua and Barbuda, the Dominican Republic, Saint Lucia and St. Vincent & The Grenadines, amongst others.

Minister of Tourism and International Transport, Hon. Richard Skerritt, said, ?As one of the member countries of the CTO, St. Kitts is proud to be involved in raising money for such a worthwhile charity and we have every confidence in being able to raise enough funds to reach our target. The choice of rum as our fund-raising mechanism is significant in that rum is not just an important part of Caribbean heritage and culture, but also growing in popularity internationally. ?

Since its launch 11 years ago, Just a Drop, the international water-aid charity has helped more than a million children and their families in 29 countries worldwide, carrying out health and sanitation programs. The charity relies entirely on donations from individuals and businesses and regular contributions through ?Friend for Life?.
