The opening of Leela Palace Chennai will bring back some of the early glory of its history as the UK?s first bastion in India from which an empire grew ? it was formerly a banana grove.
Located in a quiet residential area of Chennai, the 14-storey hotel is located on a 6.25-acre site facing the Bay of Bengal and will feature 329 rooms and suites; five international restaurants, serving Indian, Italian, Asian, Western and Japanese food; a dessert bar; spa; swimming pool and fitness centre. A 24-hour butler service will also be available in the Royal Club.
