Sofitel Haikou opens for guests

The hotel debuts, bringing a chic style and French flair in capital city of Hainan Island.

Sofitel has announced the opening of the Sofitel Haikou; the newest property in the brand's portfolio and the 23rd overall across Greater China. 

The Sofitel Haikou is located in the capital of China's Hainan Island, in the Guomao business district facing Haikou Bay. The hotel stands as a 37-story tower with direct access to the Form Sqaure shopping mall and office building, and nearby leisurse including Evergreen Park, Qilou Old Street, Hainan Museum and Hainan Convenntion & Exhibition Center. The Haikou high speed train East Station is a 15-minute drive from the hotel, and just 30 minutes by car from Meilan International Airport.

The hotel's interior design was helmed by Hong Kong-based Cheng Chung Design, with garden design by Singapore's Belt Collins. The hotel's 209 modern guestrooms and suites range from 45 to 67 square metres, with well-appointed rooms featuring floor-to-ceiling windows with sea or city views. The chic d?cor blends a vibrant orange colour palette with smart room technology, including the signature Sofitel MyBed, including a choice of designer pillows and aromatherapy. Bathrooms feature Lanvin and Herm?s amenities for luxury bath and shower experience. 

Six restaurants boasts live cooking stations, international buffers and a la carte menues focusing on Chinese and French cuisine. 'Le Chinois' will offer Cantonese cuisine in 13 private dining rooms for business or celebrative occasions. 'Lemon 1900 Bistro & Bar' offers sea views from the 36th floor, three private dining rooms and a main area designed for parties. 'Garden Bar & Terrace' offers inventive cocktails and choice wins. 'Le Lounge' on the 35th floor offers afternoon tea with panoramic views. Executive lounge 'Club Mill?sime' on the 33rd floor offers an exclusive enclave for check-in and business meetings.

The hotel also boasts 660 square metres of function spaces with natural lighting and LED screens for weddings or business functions. The nine-metre-high ceiling of the grand ballroom with gold accented d?cor blends tradition with state-of-the-art audio and video technology. 

The hotel's wellness facilities include a yoga room, spinning room, Technogym equipment and indoor and outdoor swimming pools, as well as Sofitel Spa, offering French brands and treatments in seven spa suites. 

Until February 10, 2021, guests can book a luxury room stay, including daily buffet breakfasts and dinner for two, from CNY999.
