Seven Seas Explorer to feature in Christmas Special on Channel 5

Regent Seven Seas Explorer is to star in a Christmas special on Channel 5 in the UK, airing Friday, December 27 at 8pm.

It is a follow-up to four-part series ?The World?s Most Expensive Cruise Ship?

Regent Seven Seas Cruises allowed cameras from independent documentary makers ITN Productions to film a festive Caribbean cruise, showcasing the personalised service and lavish opulence found on board.

The episode follows Head Butler, Ronnie, preparing the $10,000 per night Regent Suite for a special private cocktail party, while senior executive chef, Michael, prepares a culinary Christmas surprise for the guests. On land, cruise director, John, swims with stingrays in the Cayman Islands and flies through the skies of Belize on a zipline.

Seven Seas Explorer was christened by Her Serene Highness Princess Charlene of Monaco in July 2016. The ship features well-designed theatres and lounges, a collection of spacious suites, five lavish gourmet restaurants and personalised service. At 55,254 gross-registered tons and carrying 750 guests, the all-suite, all-balcony ship boasts one of the highest space ratios and highest crew to guest ratios in the cruise industry, not to mention the largest private verandas in the cruise industry and a new category of luxury suite - the nearly 4,500-square-foot Regent Suite -- which comes with a grand Steinway piano, a personal butler and its own in-suite spa and unlimited spa treatments.

The ship will return to Europe and the Caribbean throughout 2020. In 2021, Seven Seas Explorer will be spending Spring and Autumn in Asia, with its first summer season in Alaska in between.
