Scenic's new experiences with 2021/22 Southeast Asia river cruising programme

With the release of its 2021/22 Southeast Asia river cruising and touring programme, Scenic has launched some exclusive experiences for travellers looking to sail through the mystical waters of Southeast Asia.

The itinerary includes backstage passes to Hanoi’s water puppets show, a traditional Vietnamese Royal Dinner, private access to Angkor after dark, and plenty of local entertainment, along with sumptuous regional feasts.

The Vietnam Explorer tour will explore all three major regions of Vietnam in one compact journey; travelling from Hanoi to Ho Chi Minh City, taking in Halong Bay, Hoi An and Hue along the way.

In Hanoi, travellers can learn the secrets behind the illusionary show with an exclusive backstage pass and spend two nights exploring the stunning Halong Bay on board the luxurious Au Co, complete with morning tai chi lessons, exclusive wine tastings and in-depth explorations of the area with kayaking and cave tours.

Those who book a trip with Scenic can enjoy five-star accommodation with incredible experiences, such as access to the hotel wartime bunker at the Sofitel Legend Metropole, and complimentary daily spa journeys throughout the three-night stay at Almanity Hoi An Wellness Resort.

Hoi An’s colourful central market will offer plenty of fresh ingredients for an authentic Vietnamese cooking lesson. A Vietnamese Royal Dinner in a traditional private Tha Om ‘Garden House’ hosted by the gracious owner and accompanied by Royal Hue Court music comes next. Prices for the 14-day escorted tour start from £3,045 per person, departing April 21, 2022.

For those looking for an authentic, local experience, head to the traditional village of Koh Pen in Cambodia on the 14-day Luxury Mekong & Temple Discovery cruise tour. Visiting a remote village by local remork provides insight into the simple rural lifestyle of farmers in Cambodia. This itinerary includes a seven-night river cruise sailing from My Tho to Kampong Cham, calling at Sa Dec, Tan Chau, Phnom Penh, Oudong and Angkor Ban.

Guests will explore the bustling markets in the historic town of Sa Dec, along with a visit to Vinh Te Canal for a tour of a family-operated fish farm. They can enjoy exclusive access to Angkor Wat with a sunrise and champagne breakfast, overlooking the magnificent temple, followed by a mystical themed Gala Dinner in the evening. The dinner will also be held at an Angkor temple, and will include complimentary drinks and an Aspara dance show in front of the temple ruins. Prices for the 14-day itinerary start from £3,945 per person, departing May 1, 2022

Scenic is offering savings of up to £1,000 per person, on the new Southeast Asia river cruising and touring programme, along with complimentary private door-to-door chauffeur-driven transfers. An additional early payment discount of £200 per person also applies to new bookings, if paid in full by October 31.

Scenic's small ships have a capacity for 68 guests only, allowing plenty of space to relax and enjoy the cruise, while still maintaining social distance.

Scenic’s Deposit Protection Plan, also allows guests to have the flexibility to change their booking up to 120 days before departure.
