The schedule has been expanded ahead of an expected return to the Danube, Douro and Rhine rivers in July 2021.
The Scenic Group, which encompasses Scenic Luxury Cruises & Tours as well as Emerald Cruises, has announced an expansion of its planned summer programme, ahead to the return to Europe's rivers from July 2021.
Along with planned cruises on the Douro river, the Scenic Group's fleet will also sail on the Danube and Rhine this summer. Scenic will also resume on France's Garonne, Gironde and Dordogne rivers in Bordeaux.
Emerald Cruises' first Douro sailing will set off from Porto on July 31, 2021, while the newly-announced Rhine cruises will begin from Basel on August 19, 2021, followed by Danube River sailings on August 30, 2021.
From late November, Emerald will resume its Christmas Market sailings on both the Rhine and Danube rivers, with plans to operate 38 river cruises at least between July and December.
Scenic's departures will restart on the Douro River from July 30, 2021, with Bordeaux sailings kicking off on August 29, 2021, Rhine cruises from August 30, 2021 and Danube voyages from September 27, 2021. Scenic will sail six Bordeaux river cruises, eight Rhine river sailings, four Danube river departures and three Christmas Market cruises throughout November and December. A multi-river sailing from Amsterdam to Budapest will also sail its guests along the Rhine and Danube rivers, with the 15-day 'Jewels of Europe' route departing twice.
Both the original planned summer cruises and the recent additions are available to book now. Scenic Group's flexible booking policy allows guests to rebook or receive a full refund or FCC should a destination be added to the UK's amber or red list up to 30 days prior to departure.
