Demand for river cruising in Europe has led Viking River Cruises to add additional capacity for next year, with the reintroduction of its eight-day Castles and Wine Cruise.
p>Demand for river cruising in Europe has led Viking River Cruises to add additional capacity for next year, with the reintroduction of its eight-day Castles and Wine Cruise. To mark its return, the cruise is offered with a saving of ?1,000 per person giving a lead price of ?745 if booked by the end of this month. Cruising from Wurzburg to Trier (or vice versa), the itinerary travels along the Moselle, Rhine and Main rivers,?calling at Karlstadt, Heidelberg, Mainz, Rudesheim, Braubach, Cochem and Bernkastel. A programme of escorted tours highlights attractions along the route, including a visit to the Bishops? Residenz, a baroque palace in Wurzburg; a full day excursion to Heidelberg including a guided walk through the Old Town and marketplace; and a tour of 700 year old Marksburg Castle at Braubach.
The programme starts on March 27 with weekly departures through to November 6.
