Sandals and Beaches Resorts offer ?Reverse Wedding? packages for 2020-21

Since the outbreak of the Covid-19 pandemic, Sandals and Beaches Resorts has seen an influx of UK customers opting to book a ?Reverse Wedding?.

Many brides and grooms are turning what was originally their honeymoon into an elopement destination wedding in a beautiful Caribbean location, which will be followed by a bigger party for family and friends back home when they return, if UK restrictions allow.

With current guidelines leaving British brides and grooms with just 13 guests able to attend their wedding celebrations, many couples have chosen to add a wedding to their existing honeymoon booking, as their original wedding ceremonies are cancelled or postponed. With a selection of ?travel corridors? offering easy reach to parts of the Caribbean such as St Lucia, Antigua, Barbados and Grenada, destination weddings can now be more easily accessible for any brides and grooms who have been left in the lurch, or have had their wedding plans cancelled at the last minute.

The package comes with a wedding ceremony and classic reception celebration, available just for two. The ceremony setting can be anywhere the couple chooses ? usually on the beach or in the resort gardens, with a bouquet for the bride and buttonhole floral arrangement for the groom, a pre-recorded musical accompaniment to walk down the aisle and a free wedding photo.

Couples who wish to customise their destination wedding can opt to upgrade their wedding booking with Sandals and Beaches Resorts and choose items from a portfolio of 10 different wedding ?inspirations? at an additional cost. The different features can be mixed and matched to suit each couples? individual taste, so that every wedding is completely unique.

The complimentary reception celebration also includes a two-tied wedding cake, cocktail reception with hors d'oeuvres and signature cocktails for the bride and groom. The next day, the newly-weds will be treated to breakfast in bed in their suite, a honeymoon dinner in one of the resort?s speciality restaurants and a romantic turndown service.

A new free ?Virtual Wedding? live streaming service is also available for all couples that book a 2020 or 2021 destination wedding ceremony with Sandals and Beaches Resorts before December 31, 2020; so that families and friends can still be a part of their special day. 'The Virtual Wedding' live streaming service is currently available at selected Sandals and Beaches Resorts in Jamaica for 2020 weddings, and will be available across all other Sandals Resorts for weddings taking place in 2021.

Sandals and Beaches Resorts? team of professional wedding planners take care of every detail for couples before the big day and offer the couple a virtual wedding design experience, with video calls and imagery of every wedding location for brides and grooms to choose from, as well as a 360-degree resort tour which makes the wedding planning an easy process.
