The Saint Lucia Tourist Board has announced that it will focus its marketing efforts on promoting the island?s wealth of activities to the family, couples and empty-nester market next year, including pushing its key cultural events such as Fete La Woz, Jounen Kweyol and Carnival.?

The tourist board will also commit increased marketing spend for joint marketing activities, agent training initiatives, trade advertising and its key trade events ? Saint Lucia Month & Agent Awards and Saint Lucia Showcase.?
The tourist board's UK & Europe director of marketing, Jean-Marc Flambert, said: "Next year we are doubling the number of fam trips for agents to 13 and in June we will be launching a Saint Lucia showcase for UK travel agents who have completed the online training. The events will offer destination training and will give agents the opportunity to meet with hoteliers for one-to-one meetings.
"As well as completing the online training, we are also encouraging agents to log their bookings on our Website for the chance to win a range of prizes."
