Royal Caribbean took to Boscombe Beach, Dorset to create a live infographic and reveal the breadth of sports to be found on Harmony of the Seas.
A team of 20 people spent seven hours laying out over 1,700 items of kit across 85 metres of sandy beach; half the 3,415 pieces of sports equipment to be found onboard the new ship which will be arriving in the UK in May 2016.
Soon to be the world?s largest cruise ship, Harmony of the Seas is currently under construction. Holiday makers will be able to enjoy over 30 different sports and games activities available onboard including a full ship running circuit on the top deck and serviced gym with studios and classes.
This ship also includes Ultimate Abyss, the first-ever ten-story slide, as well as the multi-level Perfect Storm water slides.
Stuart Leven, managing director for UK and Ireland, said: ?There aren?t many holidays where families can visit multiple destinations, try their hand at ice skating, body boarding, a zip wire and learn how to Blongoball* all in one trip. This ship offers holiday makers the opportunity to explore amazing destinations and enjoy a world of new experiences, with an activity to cater for every age and every taste."
The three and four day cruises will sail roundtrip from Southampton and incorporate a visit to Cherbourg in France and Rotterdam in the Netherlands respectively. The two cruises will be an exclusive first chance for UK passengers to experience the ship ahead of her inaugural sailing to Barcelona, from where she will sail the Mediterranean throughout summer 2016 before moving to the Caribbean.
