Rocky Mountaineer launches season with inaugural Denver to Moab route

The first-ever luxury train journey between Denver, Colorado and Moab, Utah went full steam ahead as Rocky Mountaineer kicked off its season. 

Rocky Mountaineer has celebrated its highly anticipated inaugural journey in the Southwest of the USA with the first ever luxury rail service between Denver and Moab. 

En route to its destination, the 'Rockies to the Red Rocks' journey showcases the most scenic aspects of Denver and Glenwood Springs as the train travels along the Colorado river. Onboard, guests can indulge in locally-inspired cuisine, complemented by beverage service in their seats. 

"The new Rockies to the Red Rocks route is a celebration that has been several years in the making," explained Peter Armstrong, founder and interim CEO of Rocky Mountaineer. 

"We look forward to welcoming guests for a train journey that delivers the incredible experience and service that Rocky Mountaineer is well known for."

The two-day rail journey, which includes one night's accommodation in Glenwood Springs, starts from US$1,250 per person. 

August 15, 2021 will mark the first departure of the train's preview season, which runs until November 19, 2021. The train will operate a seven-month season throughout 2022.
