Regent Holidays releases new Finnish fly-drives

The operator has launched three fly-drive combinations as Finland opens its borders for fully-vaccinated travellers.

Regent Holidays has launched a new collection of three fly-drive tours across Finland, exploring some of the nation's least visited and most scenic landscapes, with availability for summer 2021.

'Best of North Karelia Fly-Drive' spans Finland and Russia, with nine days to explore Lake Pielinen, Joensuu, Nurmes, Koli National Park and the River Lieksanjoki from £1,595 per person, based on two sharing. The tour includes return flights from UK to Helsinki, car hire, bed-and-breakfast accommodation, four dinners and one lunch.

A more family-friendly option is available in Karelia, the nine-day 'Karelian Explorer Fly-Drive'. Holidaymakers will stay in cosy guesthouses as they explore the remote region from £4,885 for two adults and two children, including return flights to Helsinki, most meals, transfers and car hire. Available for two adults sharing from £1,995 per person.

The third and final fly-drive is 'Land of 1000 Lakes', combining three areas of Finland's Lakeland region: Lahti, Jyväskylä and Tampere. Including stays in cabins, guesthouses and manor houses, guests will tick off scenic sights including Päijänne National Park and Jyväskylä. The ten-day holiday starts from £1,695 per person, based on two sharing, with return flights, bed-and-breakfast accommodation, car hire and a boat trip included.

A seperate gastronomy tour, 'Finnish Beer and Lakes', has launched for summer 2022, with visits to Finland's trendy micro-breweries, whisky distilleries and some of the nation's most popular restaurants from Helsinki to Tampere, starting from £1,995 per person including flights, tours, transport and accommodation.
