Record-breaking growth as Palm Beaches sees 11% UK visitor hike

Discover The Palm Beaches has confirmed multi-million visitation numbers for the first half of 2024, representing an all-time high against previous years

5.19 million visitors headed to the Palm Beaches between January and June 2024, up 1.7% against the first half of 2023.

International visitation neared half a million (488,100), up 11.9% against 2023. 21,000 of those were from the UK, up 11%.

Those 5.19 million visitors represented a visitor spend of US$4.05 billion. The rise in spending (2.4%) surpasses the rise in visitors, suggesting vacationers' greater willingness to spend more in-destination.

Milton Segarra, Discover The Palm Beaches' president and CEO, said the growth is a "testament to [the] team’s dedication and innovation," suggesting that "cutting-edge technologies and... business intelligence methodologies to gain a data-driven edge" fuelled the record-breaking numbers.

Last month, the board's associate vice president of global leisure sales, Erick Garnica, emphasised the importance of travel agents to the destination's marketing strategy and offered a two-night stay for an agent completing its dedicated agent training platform.
