Welcoming 1.22 million tourists in 2023 represents an 8% increase against 2022, with a more impressive 24% rise in international arrivals.
The Ras Al Khaimah Tourism Development Authority (RAKTDA) attributed the near-quarter rise in international visitors to its appearance at over 2,200 international roadshows, trade fairs and media events in 30 countries, alongside strategic investment in tourism initiatives, infrastructure and ecosystems.
Raki Phillips, RAKTDA CEO, emphasised the impressive numbers as "a great year for our Emirate, one that clearly set the groundwork for sustainable growth and development."
In September of last year, Raki promised "continued investment into regular fam trips... alongside the RAK Rewards booking incentive programme" in an interview with Travel Bulletin: find more on that here.
