Qatar Airways has announced a new route to India during the second half of this year, as part of a continued expansion strategy focused on new routes and capacity increases.

Daily flights to the eastern Indian city of Kolkata, formerly known as Calcutta, will be launched on July 27 taking the airline's capacity in India to 95 services weekly across 12 cities.
Other new routes include four weekly flights to Bulgaria's Sofia from September 14 and five flights weekly to Norway's capital, Oslo, from October 5.
