Promote Iceland is using this lockdown to launch a series of live webinars to educate and expand the knowledge of travel agents this month
There will be separate webinars on the seven fascinating regions of Iceland (South Iceland, West Iceland, East Iceland, North Iceland, Westfjords, Reykjanes and Reykjavik), which will dig deep into the history, culture, topography and accessibility of the place. The webinars will be helpful for those who are planning to visit the place in future.
While regions like South Iceland and Reykjavik are heavily visited by tourists, the webinars will put equal weight on the less well-known destinations, and create diverse educational material to bolster the knowledge of the agents.
Starting from May 19, the hour-long webinar will be broadcast on some consecutive and alternate days, till June 11.
Each episode will have a local representative from the specific region, who will introduce the audience to these places and will give an overview of the most popular tourist attractions, some unique selling points, and some interesting facts and figures. The sessions will also include the latest developments in these areas and the safety measures being implemented for travellers post-lockdown.
Agents willing to join the webinar should follow the link given below, which will take them to the live webinar on Microsoft Teams.
