The Portuguese government has launched the digital PLC form (Passenger Location Form) today, which up until now was in physical paper form.
The form is a prerequisite for all passengers arriving to mainland Portugal (Faro, Lisbon and Porto), and is available on: https://portugalcleanandsafe.pt/en/passenger-locator-card.
The digital PLC form will enable the Portuguese Health Authorities to intercept and stop transmission chains, by tracking people who may have been in close contact with confirmed infected passengers.
The online form should be filled in advance of travel and the receipt, either in print or on a mobile device, will be requested by the air carrier at the boarding gate for verification.
The Archipelagos of Madeira and the Azores Islands will continue with their own separate forms, which remain the same as before.
