Poland has reopened borders to UK tourists

Direct flights between Poland and the UK resumed on July 1 and UK citizens are allowed to travel into, out of and throughout Poland without being asked to undergo a period of quarantine.

Poland is now exempt from the FCO advice against all non-essential international travel, and passengers returning to England from Poland will no longer need to self-isolate on arrival.

This announcement comes off the back of the new policy measures set out by the Polish government, ensuring that health and safety is at the highest possible standard for the reopening of the hospitality and tourism industry. Detailed guidelines for hotels, restaurants and tourist attractions were announced by the Ministry of Development and the Polish Tourism Organisation.

Each business operating in the hospitality industry to adopt these procedures: Limits to the number of individuals staying in a building; implement temperature checks before entering a building - individuals who show possible symptoms of the disease will not be allowed to enter; staff must wear face masks and gloves at all times; provide regular disinfection of public areas and locations such as counters, handles, payment terminals, hotel room keys, elevators and toilets.

All future visitors to Poland are asked to only travel when in good health; only travel with the people one is living with; cover nose and mouth on public transport; observe sanitary and epidemiological safety rules in every place; visit the Ministry of Development website for updates before you book a hotel; avoid crowded places and keep social distancing wherever possible. If visitors become sick during the trip, they are advised to remain in their rooms, and notify their accommodation provider.

?The UK market has always been very dear to us and we just cannot wait to welcome you back in our lovely cities. We have been analysing travel?s searches and the ongoing trend is promising. There is still the desire to visit our country among the UK travellers,? said Iwona Bialobrzycka, director of Poland's tourism board.
