Petit St. Vincent Island to reopen borders

The private island resort of Petit St. Vincent (PSV) will reopen from November 1.

With only 22 cottages spread across the 115-acre island, it is an ideal location for social distancing, and also includes a quarantine-free arrival.

St. Vincent Government has announced that the PSV island is one of the few designated ?bubble zones', which allows for much less restrictions for guests, in comparison to other parts of the country.

Benefits of the ?bubble zone? include no compulsory quarantine on arrival and a multi-generational holiday offering, for the extended family, even if they can?t meet in the UK due to travel restrictions. Christmas and New Year celebrations can arranged at this resort too.

Most of the international airlines that service PSV?s main arrival hub, in Barbados, have scheduled daily flights from the beginning of November. In addition, PSV has arranged a separate connection service with their partner Mustique Airways, for their guests.

PSV offers space, peace and seclusion, with mostly outdoor spaces, surrounded by the flourishing natural environment of the island. Only a maximum of 44 guests can reside at the island at a time.

Guests can enjoy diving at the Jean Michel Cousteau Dive Centre, fishing or snorkelling charters on one of PSV?s own vessels, wine tasting at PSV?s extensive wine cellar, sailing excursions to Tobago islands or all-natural spa treatments at the resort?s treetop Balinese spa, all of which are some of the popular activities at the resort.

Prices start at $1,200 (?870) per room, per night, based on double sharing, in a one-bedroom cottage, in low season. The price Includes three meals daily, all non-alcoholic beverages, the use of non-motorised water sports and all facilities at the resort.

The island is offering the opportunity to book the ?PSV Peninsula? on the eastern side of the island, which includes four cottages at a special rate. This allows for an intimate group or family holiday with the guarantee that they will have the desired privacy.

PSV is committed to refunding in full, if a change in government policy around Covid-19 prevents the traveller from visiting the resort on their selected dates.
