Orlando attributes record-breaking growth to trade partner support

Casandra Matej, Visit Orlando's president and CEO, took to the stage at IPW 2024 to reveal last year's record-breaking visitation, with an 8% increase in inbound UK visitors, and was quick to attribute growth to "the support from our travel trade partners."

6.13 million international visitors descended upon the theme park capital of the world last year.

The 6.13 million figure was comprised of record-breaking Canadian visitation (1.2 million, the biggest in Orlando's history) and over 875,000 UK visitors, marking an 8% increase in the UK market against 2022.

Casandra said the tourist board observed "strong gains from all of our core international markets, including the UK... Orlando’s international growth is a testament to the uniqueness of our unbelievably real destination, the support from our travel trade partners and our emphasis on strategic marketing initiatives to help drive visitation from our key markets."
