Nouvelair launches UK flights to Tunisia?s Enfidha Airport

Nouvelair is launching its first scheduled flights from the UK in May, as it flies direct from Manchester and London Gatwick to Tunisia?s Enfidha airport.

The first flights will operate from Gatwick on May 2 and from Manchester on May 3. Flights will increase to twice per week from Gatwick and three times per week from Manchester, operating until the end of October, with the possibility of extending through the winter season.

Karim Dahmani, sales and marketing central director of the airline, said: ?We believe that Nouvelair must play its part in helping travellers return to Tunisia for holidays. It is important for us to support the leisure economy of Tunisia, especially now the largest UK provider of seats to Tunisia is no longer in the market.?

Nouvelair is part of the Tunisian TTS Group, which is one of the largest tourism companies in the country, and also operates a DMC and hotels. Nouvelair will provide seat capacity to UK tour operators as well as selling through travel agents and OTAs.

Julian Carr, aviation director at Manchester Airport, said: ?It?s great to welcome Nouvelair to Manchester Airport, giving our 29.5m passengers additional choice when flying to Tunisia. Having already operated successful charter services here, I am sure they will prove popular with our passengers looking to escape the cold in search of some sun.?

Stephen King, Gatwick Airport?s head of airline relations, said: ?We are really pleased to welcome Nouvelair to Gatwick this summer. Nouvelair?s commitment to Gatwick means we can now offer passengers more choice when it comes to travel options, with Tunisian tourism predicted to reach a 10-year high in 2020.?

Flights can be purchased on www.nouvelair.com with prices for one-way flights starting from ?128.
