The River Cruise Line has launched two eight-day cruises for summer 2016 to some of Europe?s most beautiful wine regions.
The ?Cruise the Rh?ne and Sa?ne from Provence to Burgundy? itinerary is priced from ?1,349 per person and departs on June 9 on MS Amadeus. It takes in Viviers, Vienne, M?con and Chalon sur Sa?ne, as well as the gastronomic centre ? Lyon.
Optional excursions include the Beaujolais wine route, Beaune and the Burgundy wine route, plus the Ard?che Gorge. A ?River Douro Cruise 2016? departs from Porto on June 29 on MS Douro Queen, and leads in at ?1,149.
The itinerary passes through the Douro valley, all the way to Spain, with opportunities to visit several port wineries, historic villages, take in a flamenco show in Salamanca and discover the history of Porto.
Prices are based on two adults sharing an en-suite cabin on a full board basis, with return travel - by rail to Avignon or by air to Porto - all transport, plus the services of a cruise manager throughout included.
