Mauritius to admit non-vaccinated travellers from July 15

Non-vaccinated travellers will be permitted to enter Mauritius, subject to a mandatory 14-day hotel-room quarantine, from July.

Mauritius has announced that non-vaccinated international travellers will be permitted to enter the Indian Ocean island nation from July 15, 2021. Non-vaccinated travellers will be subject to a 14-day in-hotel quarantine upon arrival.

This development represents the first phase of Mauritius' reopening, the second phase of which is set to begin on September 30, 2021.

Mauritius Tourism Promotion Authority has published a list of approved quarantine hotels, with entry requirements also available.

Fully vaccinated travellers will be subject to the 'resort bubble' concept, with access to the resort's facilities including pools and private beaches. If guests stay for 14 days and have a negative PCR test results during their stay, they are able to leave the hotel and have total freedom to enjoy the island.
