Marriott kicks off new era of all-inclusive with Cancun resort

Marriott Cancun, which recently celebrated its grand opening, marks the first Marriott Hotels-branded all-inclusive resort.

Drew Iddings, VP of Premium Classic Brands for Marriott, said the "new all-inclusive experience is designed to empower and inspire guests of all ages to connect in meaningful ways."

Responding to recent data, which suggested that over 50% of parents are planning multi-generational breaks including both grandparents and children, the brand has put family at the core of the Marriott Hotels label.

"We’re dedicated to creating enriching moments of togetherness, and our commitment to tailored leisure travel will continue to strengthen as we grow in this segment," Drew continued.

The Cancun resort hosts 450 newly-redesigned guestrooms, 124 of which boast ocean views and 38 of which are balcony suites.

13 dining options capture all tastes from vibrant Mexican cuisine to Polynesian colours and beachside snacks.

CAMP Club by Marriott is included in the all-inclusive offering; a 5,000-square-foot children's club with slime-making, Latin dance lessons and more.

In celebration of its grand opening, the property is offering 20% off all bookings made before August 30th, 2024 for travel before January 11th, 2025.

Christopher Calabrese, VP and general manager at the resort, said, "We are absolutely thrilled to extend a warm welcome to our guests at our newly renovated resort.

"Our dedicated team of hosts has poured their hearts into this exciting project, and we can’t wait to create unforgettable experiences for each and every guest who chooses Marriott Hotels for their next vacation in beautiful Cancun."
