Manchester to Morocco: Royal Air Maroc announces returning route

Passengers can now fly directly to Casablanca from the UK Northern Hub, expanding the airport’s services to the West African country.

Operating thrice weekly on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Sundays, it is the first time since the pandemic that passengers can fly directly to Casablanca from Manchester Airport, bringing the total routes available through the airport to over 200.

Lucie Hinton, Head of Aviation Business Development at Manchester Airport, stated that the airport is “proud to connect the North to the World” and the services to Casablanca provide “a great base for further exploration of Morocco.”

Zoubida Smahi, Royal Air Maroc general manager for the UK, highlighted that the destination has “reaffirmed its role as a commercial hub and a strategic gateway to sub-Saharan Africa” as the airline aims to “place the African continent at the forefront of global connectivity” with an emphasis on business and family travel.
