As school holidays draw to a close, the northern airport celebrated its impressive summer, with 3 million passengers passing through in August alone.
Increasing by 13% on August 2022's numbers, the airport reached the highest figure of its summer as guests saw out the school holidays.
98% of those heading on their holidays were through security in under 15 minutes, with 79% in under five minutes, which marked the airport's best figures on record.
Manchester Airport's managing director, Chris Woodroofe, said: "We've delivered one of the best summers ever for our passengers with more people than ever before getting through security in under 15 minutes despite huge numbers coming through on their holidays.
"Now I'm looking forward to the rest of the year. September is always popular with travellers looking to catch the last of the summer sun outside peak season, while October half-term and Christmas are also busy periods."
The top destinations throughout August included Palma de Mallorca, with 132,000 passengers heading to the island haven, Antalya and Dalaman in Turkey, Dubai, and Alicante.
"We're looking ahead to next summer too – when passengers will be able to choose an even greater range of destinations including exciting new routes like Las Vegas with Virgin Atlantic and Cairo with EgyptAir," Chris concluded.
