Malta Tourism Authority unveils wellness training hub for agents

The new training programme focuses on Maltas wellbeing sector, which is a key pillar for the destinations strategy in 2022.

Malta Tourism Authority (MTA) has launched its new wellbeing training programme, hosting six lessons for agents to agents to engage with. The new training hub has been added to the existing Malta training site, easily accessible for agents to expand their knowledge.

Health and wellbeing has been ignited as a key pillar for holidaymakers post-pandemic, with MTA aiming for the destination's wellbeing options to become a key pillar for its strategy in 2022.

New training modules examine the physical, mental, spiritual, social, emotional and environmental wellness that can be experienced while visiting the Maltese islands.

Agents who take part in the training course and complete the quiz at the end of the course will be entered into a draw to win one of five luxury wellness goodie bags, including gastronomy items, Maltese soap and a candle. Entries must be received by the end of March 2022.

Peter Green, trade trainer, UK & Ireland said: ?The pandemic raised the importance of health and wellbeing, not just in day-to-day life, but also through holidays and international travel. Malta is the ideal destination to create a sense of wellbeing through physical, mental and spiritual activities and experiences, and we are excited for travel agents to expand their knowledge through our brand-new programme.?

The platform hosts 11 other courses to earn all about Malta's tourism offerings.
