LVCVA celebrates "pivotal role" of agents at three-day Camp Vegas sales event

The three-day event brought together a host of top Las Vegas resorts and attraction partners with agents from across the UK, celebrating the destination's momentum and trade success.

Camp Vegas 2024 took place at Center Parcs, Sherwood Forest, with activities including interactive quizzes, bowling, and networking.

Fernando Hurtado, the Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority's senior director of global sales, emphasised that: "Travel agents and tour operators play a pivotal role in selling Las Vegas in the UK. In 2023, Las Vegas welcomed over 551,000 visitors, making the UK the top overseas market for the destination.

"Working alongside Las Vegas resort partners, our invited travel professionals had the opportunity to learn about everything new in the destination during curated events and utilised Camp Vegas as a backdrop for team and relationship-building opportunities."

Resort and experience partners joining the agents in attendance included: MGM Resorts International; Resorts World Las Vegas; The Venetian Las Vegas; Fontainebleau Las Vegas; Waldorf Astoria Las Vegas; Virgin Hotels Las Vegas; Cirque du Soleil; MSG Sphere; Maverick Helicopters; Machine Guns Vegas; and Indigo Tickets.

Concluding, Fernando added: "We anticipate that the knowledge gained [during] this weekend will bolster 2024 UK sales efforts, particularly in anticipation of Virgin Atlantic's new Manchester to Las Vegas service launching June 2nd 2024."
