Discover the World has shared its latest trips and trends for the upcoming winter season.
A year on from its launch, Discover the World's 'European Rail Collection' is under the spotlight. The popularity of slow travel and flight-free option has seen the collection of 10- to 14-night itineraries grow ever more popular. Destinations include Italy, Sweden, Norway and more.
A new 'Wonders of the Baltic State' itinerary offers a 16-day exploration of Scandinavia, Finland and the Baltic States by rail and ferry, following ancient trading routes. The option starts from £2,546 per person.
Iceland is also rising on Brits' bucket lists, with a new Highland Base in Iceland's central highlands (reachable only by Superjeep in the winter) guaranteeing a winer adventure. 'Reykjavik Lights and Highland Highlights' offers two nights in the capital and two nights at the new base on a bed-and-breakfast basis from £1,008 per person.
Curated private Santa experiences prove popular, with families encouraged to book early to avoid disappointment. The festive options include a 'Santa Adventure in Lapland' itinerary from £1,059 per person in December.
Topping off the trending options is a new 'Arctic Fjords & Northern Lights' cruise, departing from February 2024 on a 53-berth ship, the Quest.
